Why seasonal cleanups matter
Winter and fall both leave behind a layer of debris that smothers turf, traps moisture, and invites disease and rodents. A heavy leaf pack left over winter is one of the most common causes of snow mold and dead patches the following spring. Sticks, salt, sand, and matted grass left in beds will hold moisture against shrub crowns and rot perennials. A proper cleanup is the difference between a property that wakes up healthy in spring and one that spends the first month playing catch-up.
What's included in a spring cleanup
Our spring cleanup typically includes a full leaf and debris removal across turf and beds, a bed cut-back of any perennials that were left standing for winter interest, removal of sticks and limbs, a light bed edge refresh, and a final blow-down to leave the property looking sharp. This is also a great moment to bundle in a starter fertilization and a pre-emergent application so the cleanup feeds directly into the season's lawn program.
What's included in a fall cleanup
Fall cleanups focus on leaf removal as the canopy comes down, perennial cut-backs where appropriate, gutter-line debris, and a final blow-down of beds and hard surfaces. For most properties we recommend at least one full fall cleanup once leaves are mostly down, with optional interim visits if you have a heavy tree canopy. A fall cleanup pairs naturally with a winterizer fertilization application to set the lawn up for next spring.
Hauling and disposal
We haul all debris off-site as part of the service, so you're not stuck with piles of leaves on the curb or bags to schedule pickup for. If you'd rather keep some debris - a leaf pile for the kids, mulch material for your beds, or sticks for a fire pit - just let your crew know and we'll leave a pile where you want it.
